Ruthelma Stevens & Waldo Logan Apartment
The duplex unit, the largest in the building, featured 3 bedrooms and the grand 30’ oval living room with den and kitchen off of it. It was occupied by wealthy sportsman Waldo Logan, youngest son of Frank Logan, and his wife Ruthelma Stevens - a stage and screen actress best known for her role in The Scarlet Empress (1934). Their time in the unit was short. They divorced in 1940 after just 6 years together, Ruthelmea moved to New York where she had a successful broadway career, and Waldo went treasure hunting in Florida until he spent through his fortune.
